Even in these tough economic times a few new businesses have opened (or are on the brink of) in West Hollywood. From fine wines and gifts, a dance studio, a yogurt shop with a twist, an adult entertainment store, and a new fast/casual/healthy restaurant. Venokado, opened at the end of 2008 on Fountain Avenue, features fine wines, gift baskets, baby gifts and more and has already been featured in Women’s Wear Daily, 944 Magazine, and Daily Candy. A new Dance Studio just opened on Santa Monica Blvd just down the street from Chi-Chi LaRue’s first adult store. They are located on SMB between San Vicente and Robertson. Check it out. I have been a frequent visitor to the Yogurt Stop on SMB near Palm. Great flavors and you can, as they say, Pump it Yourself. Finally, Tender Greens is set to open this week at the SMB/Hancock project. Tender Greens has been very popular with the Culver City set offering salads, hot off the grill items, and comfort soups. In addition, much needed Public Parking is also available at the facility. Our local businesses need all of our support in these tough economic times.
